Author Guidelines

Manuscript Submission

  • Manuscripts must be original and should not have been published previously or submitted elsewhere.

  • All submissions must be written in English, prepared in MS Word (doc or docx format).

  • Manuscripts should be between 3 to 15 pages in length.

  • A maximum of four authors are permitted per paper.

  • Use Times New Roman font for the entire document.

  • Authors must include Index Terms / Keywords.

  • Manuscripts should strictly follow the Psychiatria Journal manuscript format.

  • Authors are expected to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to ethical guidelines before submission.

Publication Process

  1. Authors submit their manuscript along with their profile to the editorial office.

  2. Manuscripts undergo initial editorial screening followed by double-blind peer review by two referees.

  3. Authors will be notified of the editorial decision (acceptance / revision / rejection) via email.

  4. Upon acceptance, authors are required to submit the copyright form and, where applicable, the publication fee.

  5. After verification, the article is published online and made accessible to the academic community.

Plagiarism Policy

  • Psychiatria maintains a strict anti-plagiarism policy.

  • Plagiarism includes copying ideas, text, figures, tables, or data without proper attribution.

  • Manuscripts with more than 20% similarity index (without proper citation) will be rejected.

  • If plagiarism is detected before or after publication, authors will be given an opportunity for explanation.

  • Unsatisfactory explanations will result in retraction and possible sanctions, including a publication ban in Psychiatria for a period determined by the editorial board.

Review Process

  • All submissions undergo an initial editorial assessment by the Editor-in-Chief.

  • Manuscripts passing the initial check are sent for double-blind peer review by at least two referees.

  • The review process generally takes 2–6 weeks, depending on the complexity of the manuscript.

  • Authors will be notified of acceptance, required revisions, or rejection via email.

  • Only manuscripts that meet editorial and ethical standards will be published.

  • Psychiatria reserves the right to make editorial amendments to ensure consistency with the journal’s style and standards.

Open Access Policy

  • Psychiatria follows an immediate open access policy, ensuring that all published content is freely available to readers worldwide.

  • Authors retain copyright and full publishing rights without restrictions.

  • This policy supports the principle that free access to research fosters knowledge sharing, collaboration, and advancement in mental health sciences.
